That's very interesting that you said you found it funny but you didn't enjoy it as much. That raises a point we haven't talked about, namely, that you can laugh at things while at the same time not necessarily enjoying it. Perhaps it is like how it is possible to find a horror movie scary without liking it.
ReplyDeleteThis brings up an interesting point! There were definitely moments in "Friends" that I laughed at prior to the laugh track starting. However, it felt like the laugh track spoiled the humor because it made me stop and think about why the joke was funny, which is the quintessential way to kill a joke. Because of this, I didn't enjoy the "Friends" episode as much as I perceived it to be funny.
